Avatar DVD Design

The Process

For this DVD set, I used the markings of the Na’vi people arranged in the shape of a tree to reflect the film’s theme of nature. I wanted this DVD set to represent all the Na’vi people from different regions. The circles are designed to glow, referencing the Na’vi’s signature bioluminescence and enhancing the feel of the design. I also incorporated a pair of eyes to represent a Na’vi figure. The markings were sketched and then placed into illustrator.
